Personal
My wife Mary and I have lived in the Woodlawn community for going on 12 years. Before that, I lived in Hyde Park for more than 10 years. I am originally from Boston, and my family is from the North End of Boston, which is the Italian section of the city. My grandparents came from Avellino, a small village outside of Naples in the Province of Avellino in Italy.
I was an undergraduate at Suffolk University in Boston where I graduated with a BA in Communications and Journalism. Although I did not major in political science, I took more than enough PolySci courses to have done so, and my mentor in the first part of my undergraduate career was Mudavanha Patterson, a professor in that department. I pursued a Master’s Degree at California State University Northridge in writing but was interrupted by the Northridge Earthquake, which devastated the campus.
Mary and I live with our cat Juice across from Jackson Park. Our six beautiful children are living across the city, the country, and even in Europe.
